What spaced repetition actually does

Memory fades on a predictable curve. Review a word right before you would forget it and the curve flattens — each successful review buys you a longer gap until the next one. WordNest handles the timing so you only see the words that are due today.

Every card moves through seven stages. Answer correctly and it advances to a longer interval. Answer wrong and it drops back one stage only — you get a hint and a second attempt first, so one slip never erases weeks of work.

    Add the words you met today — from a lesson, a book or a series. Add a translation, and let AI write an example sentence.

    Open Study. WordNest shows only the cards that are due, mixing new words with older ones coming back around.
