Is WordNest free?

Yes. You can create an account, add words, study every day and decorate your garden without paying. New accounts start with 100 coins.

How does the review schedule work?

Every card moves through seven stages. A new card is shown again the same day, then after 1, 3, 7, 14, 30 and 60 days. Each correct answer moves the card to the next stage; after the seventh it is mastered and leaves your queue.

What happens when I answer wrong?

You get a hint and a second attempt. If the second attempt is also wrong, the card drops back one stage only — never to zero — and becomes available again right away, so you can fix it in the same session.

How do I earn XP?

XP comes only from correctly answered cards: +5 XP each. Opening cards, finishing a session or claiming the daily bonus does not grant XP. XP raises your Nest Level, which unlocks new plots of garden land.

How do I earn coins?

Coins come from correct answers during study and from the daily streak bonus. Coins are what you spend in the shop on plants and decorations.

How big is the daily streak bonus?

Day 1 pays nothing, days 2–5 pay 10 coins, days 6–10 pay 15, days 11–30 pay 20, days 31–90 pay 25, and from day 91 onwards you get 30 coins a day.

What is a streak and when does it reset?

A streak counts consecutive days on which you opened WordNest. Miss a full day and it resets to 1.

Do I have to type the answers?

In review mode, yes — typed recall is what makes the words stick. Common contractions are accepted, so "I'm" and "I am" both count. If you just want to flip through cards without affecting your schedule, use free practice mode.

Can I hear the pronunciation?

Yes, cards can be read aloud with built-in text-to-speech, and you can generate a natural example sentence for any word with AI.

How does the garden work?

Correct answers earn coins, coins buy plants and decorations in the shop, and you place them tile by tile in an isometric garden. Nine plots of land unlock progressively as your Nest Level rises.

Can I study with friends?

You can add friends by @username, visit their gardens, and share a deck of words with a single link that anyone can import.

Can I install WordNest on my phone?

Yes. WordNest is a progressive web app: open it in Safari or Chrome and use "Add to Home Screen" to get an app icon, full-screen mode and push reminders.

Is WordNest available on Google Play and the App Store?

Not yet — the native apps for Google Play and the Apple App Store are currently in development. Once they are published, existing users will be notified automatically. In the meantime you can install WordNest on your phone today via "Add to Home Screen" and use it like a regular app.
